From the Nintendo Switch Online App's main menu, tap the Animal Crossing: New Horizons icon, found under Game-Specific Services at the bottom of the screen. When prompted, enter the email and password of the Nintendo Account that you use with Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
If you can't find the app after it's downloaded, check your device's app library.
Search for the app on your device's store (either the App Store or the Google Play Store) and search for "Nintendo Switch Online".
With that done, you now need to set things up on the app itself:
You'll be asked if you want to activate the NookLink Features. At the title screen, press the Minus Button to go to the Settings Menu. Launch the game from the Switch's Home Menu. To set up NookLink, you'll first need to activate it in-game. If you've deleted your Animal Crossing: New Horizons save data and started over, you will have to redo this process in order to use NookLink's features again. Setting up NookLink will require a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
